just barely picked it up!
So the engine in my WRX decided to let go of a few bearings....sold that but before that was gone picked up a 2011 IS 350 lease return with 32K on the odo with luxury package with Lexus CPO on it.
It was supposed to be mine but now the misses is doing all the driving with it....funny how that works...anyways glad to be here, lots of useful information and so thankful I am done with the Subaru forums...
Cheers!

Impressive. I have been looking through the Phoenix area offerings for a long time...apparently my color combo is not a popular color combo in AZ. Ended up getting mine with 41k miles on it for 20,300 though had to pay 5.6% tax on top of it (can't believe I couldn't find this car from a private party). To be honest, had I known about that deal for 25k, I would have gone that route, cost me a bit more cash, but would have saved me driving 1500 to get the car I wanted....then again, I did get the color combo I was looking for and had enough cash leftover to pick up a sweet 1989 Honda NT650, a bike I have looking for for years! Either way, nice find, most of the dealers with similar cars, in PHX, would not budge from 28k-30k, perhaps cash is no where near as appealing as financing these days?

Nice car.
I have never owned a Subaru, and don't know much about them save they have a bunch of dumb dumbs designing their head gaskets.
I am curious -- what is it about the Subaru forums that you are glad to be done with?

I was under the impression subaru was a rugged "rally" heritage vehicle.....It was a fun car to drive but it had more than its fair share of issues....yes it was a super easy car to work on but it's a rattle can.
As far as the forums go there was always someone to give a smart*** answer to a very legitimate question and it got very old really quick.
So far I like the vibes I am getting over here...everyone seems to be knowledgeable and willing to share that with those in need.
The old saying "cash is king" doesn't exist any more unless you are talking craigslist. The dealers and banks make their money from the financing.

the plan is to enjoy the car for as long as i can......or should i say as long as the misses can.....unless she decides to let me take it for a spin.
So far I am very pleased with the vehicle.....every recall has been performed on it and it has had all of the "services" completed before they were actually due.......who ever had it before me took excellent care of the vehicle.
