Sounds you haven't test drove the IS350 yet; when you do, the CPO status won't matter. You'll want the IS350 regardless! The IS350 has actually been proven to be a more reliable platform over the IS250.

Appreciate all the comments.

A third option for me has come up, 2011 CPO 350 that's cheaper than both '12 250/350. At this point I'm leaning towards the '11 350 with CPO, is there any reason I shouldn't pull the trigger? It's had the camshaft recall done and all service is up to date.

From what I understand the 2011 -> 2012 is350 had very little changes, most noticeable being the headlights. I'm planning to own this car for 5-6 years so I'm thinking it might be a good idea to avoid possible carbon buildup issues with the 250 down the road after the CPO warranty expires.
