Advice for 19" tires
Picking up some 19" wheels later this month and was wondering what tires are best. Here are my driving habits. My car is DD so I'm looking for quietest and most comfortable out there. I've read tons of reviews and this is what I've come across. Got the prices from Tire Rack. Opinions please if you have these tires.
Michelin Pilot SS- Most $$$ but best tire out there but tread life not that great. $1,000 for set of 4
Hankook Ventus V12- Best bang for buck. Good but not great tire. I had these on my previous IS in 18". Tires stuck like glue but tread life was weak. $742 for set of 4
Continental Extreme Contact DW- Don't know much about this tire but best seller on Tire Rack. Read reviews that some people like this tire. $760 for set of 4.

The Michelin tire is the best for sure. It also is more comfortable. I have about 10k miles on my PSS and they are almost ready to be replaced. Maybe two thousand more miles. I do also find that they are much more tire than I need for DD. So I was thinking about getting the continental with a 50k warranty. I just need to remember to look at expert reviews.

I have to agree with the group on this one. If you're looking for the best tire of that group, the Michelin is the one. They will be the best in ride quality and comfort, have the best wet and dry grip, and they will last the longest. They are the most money, but in this instance, you get what you pay for.
On another note, if you do end up ordering through the Tire Rack, don't forget to either navigate to our site through a link on the forum or reference my name and ClubLexus in the "previous contact" box to make sure the forum gets their credit.

Just not sure if I want to drop a grand on a set of tires that won't last over 15-20k miles especially on staggered setup that you can't rotate. From my experience owning the car the fronts wear out quicker than the rears. I may just get one of the other sets and get the Fsport rear sway bar with it! I know the sway bar will improve cornering and body roll but will it impact ride comfort at all?

I know the Michelins are the best overall tire. I can only speak for the Hancook and I liked them and they handled well. Since you don't want to spend that much go with the lower priced two. The sway will help with body roll. That's all it does and won't affect anything else.

You have really got a set of competing priorities.
If you want comfort 19" is not what you want.
If you want comfort/quiet/treadlife you shouldn't be looking at "max performance summer" tires.
Compared to your 18" Hankooks a set of 19" PSS will be stickier, but they won't be more comfortable or give you more treadlife.

The hancook are good but I went wilt the PSS this time because I only got 20k out of the hancook and why not spend a few hundred more dollars and get the best one you can get?
This time I would like to get a better life out of my tires since I seen I wont use the added performance.
