Default Oil leak, can't find the source!

For the past few days now I've seen some puddles of oil on my driveway, and now I can confirm that its coming from my IS 250. Snowed the other day and parked my car on my driveway and when I moved it, there's the oil puddle. But I'm having trouble finding exactly where the source is coming from. I dont see any leaks under the oil pan or under the engine itself. I was checking for about 15 minutes and dont see any drips. But there's always a new puddle. Checked my oil everyday ever since and its still full on the dipstick. I'm stuck on what to do, and taking it to the dealership is the last solution I want to do. Any Advice?

Are you sure it's motor oil? Place a cardboard under your car overnight to isolate possible source.

^^^^ This with the cardboard. I found a puddle inside my garage and did this. For a week it never came back and then one day a spot showed on the cardboard. It turned out that it was from my mom parking her car in my garage.

The cardboard will give you a general location of where its coming from and also help confirm if it's actually oil. If you really cant tell from the top then put it in the air and you should be able to locate the drip path.

Yep, start with the cardboard trick to narrow down whether it appears to be near the front (motor) or the middle (trans). Then from there, you might have to remove some of the undercover trays to see where exactly it is coming from. But HOPEFULLY, you can spot it from in the engine bay with the hood up.

Have you have our oil changed recently?

@ Gville350

I did the cardboard thing over night the other day and saw no drips. And the next day I decided to do an oil change since it was warm enough. Lift up my car did the oil change and did and inspection to find any leaks. I haven't seen anything. The bottom of my car was dry, no oil stains anywhere.

And then my brother in law said it was probably my dad's car, that was leaking oil. So it got me thinking for a bit. All the times where I parked my car, I had to move my dad's car. And sure enough I went to inspect his car as well and there was small drips coming from his car.

So the culprit must have been his car all along. I'm still keeping a close eye on my car just in case Im wrong, but it's like a 95% chance that its not coming from my car. Makes me really happy.
