IS250 (2008 fully loaded) - How long can music play without killing battery?
Hey guys,
I just joined this forum today, am new to Lexus (got a mint condition used 2008 IS250 a few weeks back).
I love the car and spend quite a bit of time on weekends working inside the car (parked).
I listen to music in the parked car with engine, lights, nav unit etc all off but ignition on (from the 6CD player, at volume level approx 24).
I know the ignition shuts off automatically after some time but I keep turning it back on to continue listening to music.
I was wondering if anyone knows approx how long I can play music in this setting before I kill the battery enough that it won't start the car....(I've tried sessions of 40-60 mins until now without killing the battery)
Thanks !

I go to Drive Thru Theater and movies would normally last for 2 hours. It would shut off automatically once and turn back on for another hour or less to finish the movie and still can start and drive home happy. So in the end i don't know whats the limit haha. Also my battery bolt is corroded, gonna need a new battery sooner or later.

Last year during a nice summer day, I decided to let some music play while i was working on my car in the garage.
I don't know if its because I have a sub and amp which require a lot of power, but the music began to tremble and become way out of tune and static.
Next thing you know, my car wouldn't start --- kept making a "clicking noise".
I gave it 20 minutes, came back and luckily it started, assuming enough charge had built up. I have an 09 is250.
Just be careful.
