07 is250 base
Hello all,
I have been looking at an 07 is250 currently has 93k. The carfax and my lexus online shows that it has been dealer serviced for the fuel line recall and regular maintence for all its life. But, it went in again for the fuel pressure sensor. I wanted to know if there as been any recurring issues with the fuel lines or did the recall solve the problem. I have had issues in the past with recurring problems with other cars and I want to stay away from that type of situation. I am looking forward to the sparks and coolant change at 100k. When test driving the vehicle I noticed the vsc light on and the tps light due to the aftermarket rims with no sensors. It is my understanding after reading almost all threads on cl regarding vsc it comes on for alost anything. I will get it checked out by my mechanic but how big of a nuisance is this issue. Does it lead to any other issues? Thank you for any insight. You guys are great and I feel safe in saying this is the top forum I have come across in my 3 weeks of research, very thorough and prompt with responses. Thank you!

If the check engine light is also on (lower left corner of the dash), the first thing I would do is bring it to an auto parts store and they should be able to pull the codes(s) for free. A quick search of the code(s) online should reveal the problem(s) or at least least narrow down the possibilities significantly. Good luck with your potential purchase!

Also for the TPMS light, you could make a PVC canister with sensors in it to get the light to go away: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-second-generation/328044-diy-tpms-canister-pipe-bomb.html

How is the front end, I've had issues with weak upper control arms and ball joints, given I live in Ma and the potholes are like craters. Are they strong? Is it noisey?
