Faulty front oil pump
Hey guys, been having some issues lately with my 06 is350. She has about 50K miles on right now, but in december the alternator gave in, went to the dealer and had that fixed. Last week while driving the check engine light, vsc, traction etc pretty much all lights came up again. This happened about a minute away from my home. Since she was still making power i continued driving and in the final turn noticed that the rpm suddenly went high and came back down. After I parked i noticed some oil sipping from below the car and unfortunately it was red colored so I immediately thought transmission issues.
I took her to the dealership again, first they told me that it was a front seal converter. I thought ok they change that it's all good. Today they called again, after they changed it and made a test drive she was still leaking oil after they parked her. Took the transmission down again, and now they say its the front oil pump (part # 35301-60030).
Is there anyone that had this part replaced? It's not too expensive but I wouldn't expect it to just fail like that.
Thanks,
Niels
