i thought coils were out of the question, because there is the risk of rust and seizing up?

You can use a silicone spray on the coils to keep grime and dirt and the elements out of the threads.

Had to dig up old posts that I researched long ago for the AWD.

H&R springs with F-Sport Shocks

Tanabe TNF113 springs with stock shocks

Tanabe NF210 springs with stock shocks

F-Sport Springs and Shocks

I have s-techs in NYC, but if i were to do it again i'd go H&R's. Coilovers are nice for the adjustability but i honestly wouldnt be changing the ride height btwn seasons

Im going with coils and I live in snowy Alberta Canada.... Our summers are quite nice!
I was advised: Do it right the first time or pay twice.

If you buy springs and shocks then you might as well buy coils.

just remember that the problem with progressive springs, is that because the rate is constantly changing, the shocks cannot be valved to exactly be compatible with the changing rates... too my knowledge, you're shocks' life may be shortened. Go Coils Go! (just my $0.02)

the only reason im skeptical about coils is because of rust or seizing issues where i live it snows insanely plus with the salt and grime it could ruin the coils quicktime or else i would get in a heart beat.
