Default Non-staggered tire replacement?

2012 IS250 with the 18" staggered configuration. My Lexus advisor stated I could replace the current tires with all the same size when the time comes? If so, and don't mean to sound stupid, but would they be replaced with the 225 or the 255?

I don't believe this is possible without replacing the rims. It would also upset the balance of the car.

Your Lexus advisor is an idiot!

You can't put 255s on the front (they don't fit) and you can't put 225s on the 8.5" rear rim (well, I guess you could mount them, but you really don't want to). Buy some 17" OEM rims and put 4 225s or 235s on them.

^ That and why would you want less traction? The only reason you would want to do that is to save money and that mean getting cheaper tires too = even less traction.
