Default Warranty expiring - anything I should check out?

My 2008 IS250 7 year/100,000 mile platinum warranty is expiring next month (at the 7 year cutoff). The car has 75,000 miles on the clock. Any common issues I should have the dealer check out before it's too late? I've had all the recalls done (except the fuel line gasket, which is still awaiting parts).

Thanks,

The water pump mine went at 94k right before my warranty expired. Radiator went few months later after warranty expired. I had no leaks or signs prior to pump going only grinding sound. Radiator was leaking from the top little bit.

You should make sure you do not have any leaks. It looks like many with 100k+ have leaks with costly repairs.

WHS+1. Remove the engine covers (both top and bottom) to check for leaks. Or you could pay for an inspection at the local indie shop if you done have access to a good set of jack.

It's basically the same as the CPO warranty as far as coverage is concerned. It's an exclusionary warranty so unless its specifically excluded, it should be covered:

I had a similar thing last Dec as my extended warranty on my 08 was expiring. Instead of paying the $100 for an inspection it look it into the lexus dealer for and oil change which I brought my own oil and filter which cost me $40. I just let the guy know my warranty was expiring and to take a look at things which was all included in the price of the oil change. They went completely through the car and even replaced my water pump as a preventative measure as he knew they were the weak link. The service guy said he "Heard Something" in the water pump so it was covered by the warranty!

Has anyone thought about an external source for warranty? When I financed my used IS I bought the warranty from the bank, which wasn't expensive too me. Look into a reputable company and it may be worth it? Just my cents with no dollars.
