I've made long distance drives in my IS350 before. I even drove from San Diego, CA to Boston, MA and back by myself. I did not experience any back pain or discomfort. I have my seat lowered all the way down, slightly leaned back, away from the wheel enough to comfortably extend my legs with a slight bend and the lumbar support probably about half out.

I have yet to find the ideal seat position... every time I get in I end up adjusting something. Previous commuter was a 92 sc400 so anything feels world's better than that.

I played with the towel idea and it works well. Though my butt went numb.

Me too! Getting in and out was the worst for me. Never had back problems though. Loved the f sport seats

Well the towel helped on the way there but on the way back, less so. Just too much in 48 hours.

Unfortunately I'll take a hit trying to sell this car right now. So my wife will be driving it.
