For those of you who purchased your ISx50 in Hawaii from Servco Lexus, this is a response I received from Lexus Customer Satisfaction Department...

"Thank you for your response. Lexus is aware of the dashboard concerns regarding some Lexus models. In an effort to ensure the best customer satisfaction, Lexus has announced a Warranty Enhancement Program related to cracked and/or sticky melting dashboards. Currently, Lexus is in the process of reimbursing guests who have paid for the repair. The tentative mailing schedule for the actual part replacement is May, 2015 in which you may have your vehicle inspected at a Lexus dealership in regards to repairs. Unfortunately, since your vehicle was purchased in Hawaii, I am unable to retrieve vehicle information in our database therefore cannot confirm if your vehicle falls within the enhancement program. In an effort to further assist you, the following list are the vehicles involved in the Warranty Enhancement Program:

2007-2008 Model Year ES350
2003-2008-Model Year GX470
2006-2008 Model Year IS250/350
2007 Model Year LS460
2004-2006 Model Year RX330
2007-2009 Model Year RX 350
2005-2008 Model Year RX 400H

Extension iof Warranty Coverage for cracked and/or sticky/Melting Dashboards (instrumental Panels) as a result of heat of humidity.

I apologize inconveniences this may cause you.

If you require further assistance, please respond to this e-mail, or contact Lexus Customer Satisfaction at 1-800-255-3987, Monday through Friday, 5:00 am to 6:00 pm, or Saturday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Pacific Time."

The dash on our 08 IS was fine. It was garage kept and a sun shade was used all of the time. Got the letter Monday with a sticker to add to the warranty booklet.

Wish they'd do the carbon fix again for free.

I was wondering the same thing. Has there been any reports of issues with our dash in the isf forums?

I don't see ISF mentioned on this(?)... my dash looks fine at the moment but I assume I have the same material as other 2008 2IS cars and the same potential risks.

*** Sorry I see now that is was already asked... well I'm still curious! Hopefully I get a letter too. And on another note, my 2009 IS350 dash really didn't feel much different to me.

Default Dash

Yeah, Ours cracked last April. right from the top of the center cluster towards the instrument cluster.
Hasn't gotten worse. Thought about injecting black RTV through a syringe needle in the evening and letting it contract at night and set up. Maybe it could hold, but it could split in the area next to the crack.
How hard is it to take the top of the dash out ? Don't need any rattles.
Door panels are fine, they are as black as ever

annoyed.
