Lexus will be sending out letters to owners with details. I don't think it will matter how many miles are on your IS250/350 or if you are the original owner of the vehicle.

I have been battling Lexus about my interior since 2008!

As per member Offspring who spoke to Lexus corporate: "If you already paid they require proof of ownership and a copy of the work done. If you had yours done at a Lexus dealership, a print out of the service history from the Lexus website will suffice. They will reimburse you.

As for the door panels, she said if you want to get it done now, you can pay out of pocket and will be reimbursed OR you can wait till may 2015 which when parts will be available in enough quantity to start replacing those effected."

Nice. My IS and RX both fall outside the covered years but both are problem free with the panels. Looking forward to replacing the panels on the sienna though. Those are used and abused.

They need to fix my LCD!!!! AND speedometer and tachometer lights are both burnt out!!! Is that not a safety issue??! Nice to know they're taking action on something though...

Wait. So does that mean even if you have an expired warranty, they are extending a warranty to fix this problem? Or is this extension only good if you have a current valid warranty?

I have an 2006 is250 tht is long expired for the regular warranty and my dash and door panels are cracking and melting.

Any true statements coming from Lexus corp about this? If this all goes down, I guess I gotta stop talking **** about my Lexus and keep the car

I guess its gonna be covered under a recall. So don't worry about the warranty part.

I just called Lexus corporate and my dealer to confirm. They are getting parts ready and should be able to replace the dash early next year! Very excited for my 350!
