Default Wheel width size markings?

I had new tires put on today and wanted to double check they put the fronts on the front and the backs on the back wheels. I know the backs are 8.5" width and fronts are 8" width but it is hard to measure correctly with the tires on. I looked for some markings on the rims to see if I could see anything and all I saw was 1/4ozFE on the fronts and 1/2ozFE on the backs. Does this mean anything to anyone?

This is a photo of the front.

Those are wheel weights used to balance the rim.

oz = ounce

May be easiest to pull out a tape measure and actually see if the wider ones are in the rear.

Doh, I just realized what those were. I know the wider tires are on the rear but was just concerned they may be on the 8" rims instead of the 8.5". I'm not sure how I can measure the rims with the tire still on?

Take wheels off, on the back of the spokes it will either say 8J or 8.5J. That's how you know.

I'd rather not have to take the wheels off, but I guess there doesn't seem to be an easy way to tell.

No offense, but is it really that hard to just remove the 5 lug nuts, it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes for all 4.

Measure them (not that easy, but can be roughly done, or look at the back of the spokes with a mirror or take the wheel off.

Take a tape measure and literally measure the rim width. Put it through one of the spokes, pretty much so it crosses over the wheel weights in the pic.

May not get an exact measurement but you should be able to determine which are 0.5" wider.
