Default Fluid or the way it's Sealed that makes Transmission Fluid change unnecessary?

Hi,

Stupid question here; is it the OEM fluid used or the way it's sealed that makes a transmission fluid change unnecessary for our IS ?

Thanks in advance!

Combination of how the transmission functions, how Toyota has the fluid cooled, AND the long-life fluid being used internally.

It says on the Canadian owner's manual, but not the American ones. Mostly likely due to the worse climate. I would do just do it at the dealer, i think labor was less than an hour. They wont be able to change 100% of the fluid, but something like 2-3L will be changed.
