lightweight wheels?

It would be cool if you have 0-60 MPH acceleration and 60-0 braking comparison between this lightweight and the heavyweight oversized wheels.
I also saved 8 pounds per corner and 32 pounds total by upgrading stock wheels to TSW Nurburgring wheels and notice smoother acceleration and better braking. It is not dramatic improvement but I can feel it. I improved 0.5 or so second in autocross but that is probably due to combination of many factors as well: reduced unsprung weight, coilovers, colder temp in winter, and better driving etc
Anyways, I'm sure 90 pounds unsprung weight saving in your case will definitely be a big improvement.
I totally agree with you! I'm also into substance over form. Ridiculously low slammed car with giant flashy wheels on crazy camber that cannot even get out of the driveway is not my cup of tea. I really don't know why some like it. In my opinion, it looks bad and can't even perform normally like a regular car. At least a beat up car can get in and out of gas station without scraping, and cleaning dirts on the street.

You should update your sig with the new wheels. I'd also be curious to see if your quarter mile time changes any.
I too am in the process of trying to get a set of 17" lightweight wheels for my summer tires. I bought a black a 17x9 et48 PF01 hoping I could put them on all 4 corners... but that isn't going to work. Your update makes me think I should go back and look at black RPF1s, but maybe Utah doesn't need two starfire pearl IS350s on black RPF1s....
Don't get me wrong I still LOVE my Work wheels! But these Enkeis make driving more fun for sure. With the T/C off and just flooring from an idle its the perfect launch, spins to about 2500rpms then hooks. Def excited to see what the 1/4 mile will be this year.

He started with 225/40/19. That seems a bit unusual, since most people who go to 19" rims also go lower profile tires. The diameter of that is ~663mm
The diameter of the stock 225/40/18 is ~ 637 mm
The diameter of 225/45/17 is ~ 634 mm
The diameter of a more common 225/35/19 is 640
So for most people going from a 225/35/19 to a 225/45/17 would yield nearly no change in acceleration or "gear ratio". The change from his 19's would yield a bit of a change in accel. since they were oversize but I for one wouldn't describe it as "HUGE".
