ok i'm pretty sure i'm sold on a 17x9 +25 only 16.5lbs! they also have a 17x8 at only 15.5 but I'll give up a pound to get more aggressive offset. 720form.com GTF1
if they came in Bronze/Gold that would be a huge plus. but I think this is a pretty smokin deal.
I'm hearing they're only around $200ea. but cant find any prices.

Ok my mind has changed a lot in the left few days. Willing to up my budget. I now care about looks and weight 
only requirement is sub 17lbs wheels..
Up for suggestions. Kinda looking at the volk ce28n now. Also what size tires would I get. If I choose 17"s 215/50/17. And 215/45/18 for 18"s? Would there be a weight difference between them?I know it depends on Tire as well, but avg weight difference?

Hold on... 215? Are we just talking about using that on the front for a drag racing setup? Otherwise - Doesn't Compute! There is no need to stretch a 215 section tire on a 9" rim, you'd be better off with something in the 7.5" range.
As far as weights, poke around tire rack, they give weights of all the tires they sell. Also a 17" wheel/tire combo is almost always going to have a lower moment of inertia than an 18", and the inertia is more important than weight.

treefittyz by lockdown823, on FlickrOP, this is my old Z. It had 18X9.5 +22 and 18X10.5 +22 Volk TE37's in bronze. Wrapped with 245 and 275 Dunlop Star Spec II's. These wheels were LIGHT. I'm talking sub 18 or so lbs in the rear. The fronts were sub 17 lbs IIRC. They're pricey but worth it.

So I ordered the RPF1 in Bronze about 3 weeks ago. I just barely got an email that they are discontinued..
so I hit up b2designs here in our vendor section on Wed, and they were here on fri.
was very hesitant how the 17"s would look, but they really aren't bad at all. I actually dig them. I think it helps that they are black. doesn't make them look all that small. here are some pics.
Here are my Works 225/40/19 19x10.5 60.4lbs.
here are the RPF1 225/45/17 17x8 37.2lbs (rear 235/45/17 38.2lbs)
saved 23.2lbs per wheel&tire noticed a HUGE difference in acceleration, and braking!

wow amazing diet. why the heck is the work so heavy???? i thought expensive wheel like Work is super lightweight but guess not. a 19 inch to 17 inch also saved so much weight. with more than 90 pounds total unsprung weight saving, you can feel faster acceleration and better braking for sureeeeeee

You should update your sig with the new wheels. I'd also be curious to see if your quarter mile time changes any.
I too am in the process of trying to get a set of 17" lightweight wheels for my summer tires. I bought a black 17x9 et48 PF01 hoping I could put them on all 4 corners... but that isn't going to work. Your update makes me think I should go back and look at black RPF1s, but maybe Utah doesn't need two starfire pearl IS350s on black RPF1s....
