Help [jack failed during tire swap]
Jacked up the car today to change over my winter tires. The jack failed and my right rear hit the pavement. Everything appears to be ok but NOW I am getting some bouncy and vibration. The car it's on aftermarket springs. After further look, it appears that the spring upper half is closely bind. Anyone with aftermarket; please check your car to see if that is how its suppose to be? I do not really feel like taking it apart again. Any help or sugggestion would be greatly appreciated

Why don't just check the other side? They should look the same. anyway did you put the E-brake on?
That happened to me once even with the e-brake on. These jacks are so freaking small.

No, I forgot to put the E brake on. I did checked the other side. I am confused now. It appears that the other side it's bind up on the bottom half. The opposite of the passenger side; which is bind up on the top half.

thank you all for replying. I did the install myself. Have done many springs previouy including my BMW E60 M5. It's too cold out and snowing outside. Brought to my mechanic and we looked it over and everything appears to be fine. So, we took off that rear wheel just to check. It turned out I now have a slight bent on my wheel.

lol. The funny thing is that I ALWAYS putva full size rim with tires underneath the car. I do have a fullsize floor jack. Rushed it and forgot to use the fullsize jack. Lesson learned

What kind of jack did you have? That's pretty serious with the jack failing.
I rarely use jackstands only when it requires me to crawl underneath the car. Now I have to relook that strategy..
