Does anyone here have any experiences on using a refurb or an aftermarket HID ballast on you 2IS? I dont want to buy brand new since Lexus charges an arm and a leg for them.

Have you register an account with Sewell parts Lexus? they do have a discount for being a clublexus member. the ballast will run you at 171 plus shipping with discount. No, I don't have after market ballast put on one yet since the original is still kicking. May be members can chimp in.

mostly everyone runs aftermarket HID's in there fogs on here and im sure it just comes down to brand preference. honestly if you car didn't come with HID then I would just go aftermarket. itll be cheaper in the end

I have a brand new OEM ballast I can sell you. I bought it with the intent of using it on my car only to find out I needed an entire new headlight .

if you want the oem Denso ballasts, you can get them from TheRetrofitSource. Their pricing is decent, not to mention discounts coming for black friday.

but if you're referring to aftermarket HID then get Morimoto from TRS. Best kit on the market with a legit 5-year warranty which you highly don't need.

I just paid $104 for an OEM Denzo ballast for my girl's 2006 GS. I think they also work in the IS...???
