Does the bluetooth on these units register more than one phone? If yes, do these units automatically detect either phone and connect to it automatically?

OEM is a lot of work to install.

I am sure someone will still have a unit kicking around, even if they don't manufacture them anymore.

I have never actually done this, as i went aftermarket, but from what I have read, you will need the navi, wiring harnesses, and steering wheel controls. You ill have to hack and slash some of the existing wiring and do some splicing. Where as the aftermarket units are plug and play. Personally, I would keep looking and find a supplier that still has one of the units in stock.

Yes it is a lot of work because the OEM nav is tied in with the car's computer system. The non nav has just a radio connection. There are some ebay vendors that will build you the proper wiring harness to convert your Non-Nav car to use OEM Nav but its like $500 for it so you would have to add that on top of your OEM Nav cost (around $1200)

the aftermarket nav's are plug and play so no need for aftermarket wireharness as it reuses the Non Nav one. The aftermarket Nav wont have the car's computer integration tho. I would go on Thonzer on the Alibaba Site and harass them to make one for you. I just emailed them and they said they still have it available
