I would say actually look and see physically. just because your VIN says you should have HID doesn't mean you actually do. My vin says I have AFS HID headlights but I have 2012 LED healights on my IS lol.

there is a noticebale/huge visual difference between halogen headlights on these cars and HID headlights on these cars. if your headlights project white light, you have HID, if its yellowish you have halogens

Also if you lights auto level when you turn the car on it has HID

If you're looking to buy one, is there an easy way to tell if the car has HID if you are looking at them online?
