***new/update***is250/350 recall***
#18
So after smelling gas fumes from the engine, I took my 06 350 to the nearest Lexus dealership. This is my first time taking my ride to a dealership since I got my car 2 wks ago and I gotta say that the service was great. My svc advisor had 2 different techs check for fuel leaks or potential risk of fire. They didn't find any so the next step is to wait for the official letter from Lexus and for the replacement part availability.

It looks like Lexus is still working on a remedy for this recall, so I'd hold off on bringing the car in. Below is what I see when I looked up my car's VIN:

just called lexus, set up and appointment for friday but for previous recalls that hadn't been done. the service agent stated that it will probably be a couple months before they actually start servicing cars for this one just announced.

All I got out of one of our lead techs is that it's related to the fuel rail, and may end up being a fuel rail replacement, or just gaskets. Still just have to wait and see, I guess.
