So after smelling gas fumes from the engine, I took my 06 350 to the nearest Lexus dealership. This is my first time taking my ride to a dealership since I got my car 2 wks ago and I gotta say that the service was great. My svc advisor had 2 different techs check for fuel leaks or potential risk of fire. They didn't find any so the next step is to wait for the official letter from Lexus and for the replacement part availability.

It looks like Lexus is still working on a remedy for this recall, so I'd hold off on bringing the car in. Below is what I see when I looked up my car's VIN:

Title
Safety Recall ELF (E2F) - Preliminary Notice - Various Models - Potential Fuel Pressure Sensor Leak

Status
Remedy Not Available

Description
In the subject vehicles, the sealing property of the gasket seated in between the pressure sensor and the fuel delivery pipe could become degraded.

Remedy
Lexus is currently preparing the remedy for this condition. Once preparations are complete, Lexus will send an owner notification letter by first class mail to owners of vehicles covered by this Safety Recall

Recall Date
October 15, 2014

Dealer Reference ID
E2F

NHTSA Recall ID
AWAITING#

We've had several vehicles come in with this recall, but as far as I know there's been nothing resolved. Will try to look into it and get back with results.

just called lexus, set up and appointment for friday but for previous recalls that hadn't been done. the service agent stated that it will probably be a couple months before they actually start servicing cars for this one just announced.

All I got out of one of our lead techs is that it's related to the fuel rail, and may end up being a fuel rail replacement, or just gaskets. Still just have to wait and see, I guess.

so tired of taking my car into the dealership always a worry about them jacking up my rims or kit. Might have to throw on the stocks.

I wonder when it will be remedied because I started smelling gas fumes in my car while idle/standing still and the vent is open.
