Default New 2014 14.1 navigation disc on sale

Not sure what years but i have 2007 IS350 and the update disc is only $99. You can call your Lexus dealership and order it. No need to pay them to install, it is easy to update yourself.

Yup. Definitely take a look. I "think" I'm in the $99 group. Woot! It's been four years since the last update.

^^^^Actually it's been updated every October since I've had my 2008 ISF. I passed last year, but I updated in 2009, 2011 and 2012.

I'm sorry Lou. I should have said since MY system last update. Lol. Hopefully when I do get it the system doesn't crash with all the data dumped into it. He he.
This brings me to a side note on the Mercedes that I've been driving on loan. That Navy unit displays gas stations near you as you drive. Nice touch.

Site Sponsor Sewell is selling the DVD for $93.94 to CL members.

I have a 2010 IS250, so my vehicle needs the HD update from the dealer.

I currently have the 09 maps. Will there be any software changes? I know the newer IS maps have an icon on the map screen that goes right to the weather information through XM.

And, this can only be done by the dealer, right?

You do know that the IS nav can display gas stations too right? Just press the voice command button and say "gas station"

^^^^I think I'll pass this year. For navigation I use my phone and the Google Maps and Navigation Apps. I find them a lot better than the Lexus Navigation.

Hiowever, a couple of years ago, I was out in the middle of the desert on my way Las Vegas, and my phone lost connection to a tower. I tried the in car Navigation, and wouldn't you know, it took me the wrong way

I use the maps but I rarely type in an address. One of the first times I tried, it routed wrong. I already knew where I was going, I just wanted to try it. I drove the route I knew and when I got close it had me going far out of my way because it couldn't figure out how to take on off ramp to get to ... wait for it... the Lexus dealership.

No *****. Well that's a new one for me. Thanks. Maybe I'll say "Hot rich single babe" and see what happens.

Yet in their FAQ's they trot out this line if b.s.

Why does Lexus’ map updates cost as much as some handheld GPS devices
Lexus sources its map information from more than one supplier. Additionally, Lexus validates the information it obtains for its annual updates. Many suppliers of handheld devices do not go through a validation process.

Looks like someone is sitting on their **** during the verification process and is pencil whipping the verification. Seriously? Can't find it's wah to a Lexus dealership? Wow.

Does this update still have the warning message that goes away on its own versus hitting the agree button?

Do we have to go to the dealer to install the update? I have a 2011 and it states the dealer can only do the update.
