Default IS350 Cold Start Noise!!!!!HELP!!!!!!

Having a problem on my car when is cold start. Before is not that loud, now is getting louder and louder. I have done every recall, but the last one i did was the cam gear, is that normal about the sound like this? If that the problem come out from the cam gear recall, will Lexus still will respond for this noise, because i have done the recall about 6 months already.

If i was you i would take it back to them and tell them that its been making that noise since the re-call was done but you thought it would go away since you were aware they had fixed the cams but it has been progressively gotten worse.

Let them deal with it. The noise was not there before the re-call right??

Thats a wierd noise. Does not sound like the cam gear rattle. It could be the pulley being too tight.... its a high pitch sound.

You have a lot of coolant residue on your hoses and surrounding areas. Did you have your waterpump replaced recently? I would also watch out for that if you have not.

Sounds like your waterpump at first but then it goes away once the car gets warm which is weird. Have you ever had it done? See if you can get it on a lift and isolate the sound? Does is it loud on the Left/Right/Front/Back of the engine. If its is front only, I would be almost positive that it is the water pump and/or pulley assembly

Go to YouTube and punch in cold start noise or check under my started threads. Might look at your alternator pullie or water pump

I didn't replace the water pump, the coolant all around because i went to track last time, and it was a little bit over heat, the coolant cap pop out a bit. And i stop the car right away. So thats why.

Before the recall, the noise is here, but not loud like now

most shops will charge in the $500+ area. IDK if your handy with a wrench but there is a few DIY's on the site and the job is easy IMO. the water pump is on the front of the engine which is easily accessible and easy to remove and replace
