Default IS250 Navigation Repair

I have a 2006 IS250 in which the navigation screen went out completely. The A/C is still blowing, I can control the radio with the buttons on the steering wheel. But the screen is black and the buttons surrounding the screen are unresponsive. Lexus has offered to replace it for $2.5k but I've read that this is a fairly common and inexpensive issue to fix. My issue is that I'm not confident to attempt to repair or diagnose this issue myself. Is there anyone in the NM area that would be willing to help? I am also willing to drive out to TX or AZ if someone is willing to help. Any assistance is appreciated.

In your case, I'd recommend using the services of the ebay seller in the link below. From what I've read, 100% of the CL members here that have used his services were 100% satisfied and their units were 100% repaired.
