I actually just took apart the drivers side and wow a real PIA! Than I tried to wrap it what a mess lol.. Not as easy you think guess I have no patience. So I decided to just wrap my drivers side in vinyl since it had a previous tear in it, shop charging me $90 to do it. I want no part in doing this myself. My hat goes off to you amilkar350!

Aviator 753 there is a known problem on Lexus dashboards. A TBS was released a few years ago but not a full recall. Some owners had just a sticky dash that easily gouges if inadvertently bumped or if a fingernail got caught while reaching for the door handle. My dash completely melted and the service technician said it was the worst one he had seen. I have a friend who has '07 Toyota Camry with the same issue. Go to the Melting Dashboard forum in Club Lexus for more info. As soon as I can, I'm having the door panels replaced with suede or similar material. Other than the dash melting, I'm happy with my '07 Lexus IS 250. My advice is to find a responsive and attentive dealership service department. I found out the hard way trying to get my dash replaced that all Lexus dealerships are not equal. I had to call corporate and have a meltdown on the phone with them to get the wheels in motion to fix my dash. After my dash was fixed, I found another dealership to service my vehicle.
