Hi All,

On my '11 350awd there is a pretty loud thud which jolts the car right after the switch into 2nd gear. It's not right at the same moment in time as the gear shift which makes me suspect its the differential. It is much more pronounced when the car is ECT Power mode and at light throttle. It goes away completely when given a good amount of gas. Is this normal?

I think so. I believe my 06 GS300 AWD did the same. I haven't felt it in my 13 GS350 but i think it's becuase the computer is shifting the gears later (since you mentioned ECT).

Let's see if anyone else chimes in.
