I was told that the exhaust for the 2IS is not a valvetronic setup. OP - do you have a switch on the exhaust that open/closes a valve and controls the volume?

just installed F sport BBk.everything seems ok.when i drive,i hit accerlate it was making some noise,like egg,eugg ect for like few 30-45 secs,after that then is fine,
when i brake its fine.no noise.
let me know wat is the issues.

I brought the midpipe to a Muffler shop,They say is illegal and cant pass smog and engine light will turn on.I was confused.All i want is the car sound louder,and no engine light on.then All good.
anyone help me please.
will there be any check engine light?

No, but the car is illegal in the state of California. No matter how clean your emissions are, you will not pass visual and you will not pass smog. You'd be surprised about how many of us who would like to return to California, but are being kept out because of their stupid damn rules.

thanks for all the advice.,I guess i am going to install it tomorrow.
still have 1 year to come to do smog.so i just switch it back the oem midpipe if smog due date comes/.
