Default Cleaning up an 06' IS250/Painting a couple bumpers

Hey everyone. I just wanted to share some pics from an is250 I just did some work on last week.

Heres some before pics of the damage

Front bumper has a lot of spider cracks and rock chips. Pretty hard to see in the pic

Nasty oxidized headlights and fog lights

Sanding down and repairing the bumpers

Got the bumpers set up and starting to paint

Then I got the headlights and fog lights sanded and set up to clear coat em

Look good, I always wished I knew how to do body work. First, I'd need to get the equipment.

daileycon has got the right idea, where did you get that banner? I've been looking for a nice one for a while now..

That came out looking great!

I didn't know you could put clear coat over the headlights, thought it might affect the light output or something? I'll consider doing that to mine if it stops the yellowing.

Thank you. Yea the tools and materials get really expensive in the auto body world haha. As for the banner, a buddy of mine got it for me. I think he got it from a store on ebay but im not certain.

It took 4 days. One day to disassemble everything and start sanding. Another day to finish sanding, primer and later sand the primer. Then paint everything one day and buff everything and reassemble the last day

Yea it works really well and it keeps the lights clear for years, not weeks or months. Heres another couple before and after pics from other lights ive done

Nice work. How much does all this cost, if I were to pay you to do it? Also, did you notice if the fog on the headlights were from the inside or outside of the lenses? I have fog but I think it's on the inside as I can't buff it out.

Thanks! I usuallyy charge $80 a set to sand and clear coat headlights. Plus depending on the damage or the amount of rock chips, its between $300 to $400 to respray a bumper. The haze or fog is on the outside of the lens. If youre buffing it, more than likely not all of the yellow will come off the lens unless its all sanded away.

what clear coat do you use on your headlights? Do you use a spray gun? Thanks. Looks good.
