Question 2006 IS 350 turning off when pushing the start button

Has anyone experienced car turning off when pushing the start button? I have replaced the battery in my key fob and it worked for a few weeks but then it started turning off again a few days ago. Sometimes it takes up to 5 times before it turns on and stays on. Does not turn off when driving thank God. Any suggestions or remedies are greatly appreciated.

Do you have your foot on the brake while trying to start it?

Yes I do. I've had the car for a while now and have never experienced this before. I took it to Lexus with a video of it doing it and they have never seen this before either? I can't imagine I am the only person in the US who has this problem lol.

No lights coming on at all. I'm taking it to a Lexus mechanic tomorrow and I'll mention that to him. He said it might be my ECU computer? Another said it could be my throttle idle control valve. Thanks for the advice.

Interested to see what the outcome will be. Maybe the sack toll will give a code.

the very first time my 07 350 did this I started looking into the OEM battery. Did some research and it turns out you can fill the cells with distilled water. I checked mine and 2 cells were really low. Topped up all six and the starts have been fine ever since. I got my mechanic to check the CCA 2 winters ago and it was still over 500.

I will get him to check it before winter this year and replace if necessary but 7 years on the OEM battery is pretty good I think.

Host the video on YouTube, and give us all the link here so we can see what you're talking about.

I took it to a Lexus mechanic and according to him it was my fuel pressure sensor. I got it replaced today and so far so good.
