Hi guys. i dont know if any of you had disassembled the manual shifter on the 2006 lexus IS 250 but mine is loose like its out of this world! I opened up the center console and unbolted almost everything but its a very unusual set up (to me at least). I could not get the shifter ring out of its place, i twisted it and turned it, no results. I tried seeing if i can find where the loose bushing is but there is a linkage that goes towards the engine and i feel like the tranny needs to come out in order for me to get to it. i have never come across a rwd car with a linked manual transmission shifter. can any of you help? Im tired of punching my passengers trying to get into 5th gear lol.

you would probably have to get to it from under the car. check out the instructions for the fsport quick shift kit on sewell's website for details on how to access the shifter from underneath the car.

+1....the F-Sport quick shifter is your best bet....

Yes from under the car remove the O ring.
