Default Do I need to replace these front tires??

Outer and inner parts of my front tires are wearing out faster and now show white lines both inside and out but the center part still has some tread left. Do I need to replace them right away or can I wait? Would alignment fix issues with uneven tire wear? I would post pics but don't know how to...

Replace ASAP. That white line is your band coming through. They could potentially blow if you hit a bump or pot hole too hard.

Get new wheel too that's a pretty tough dent.

If you have to ask, chances are yes. Yes, you definitely need to get rid of them. I think it is illegal to drive on tires with cords showing.

+1 in replacing asap. You may need alignment as well.

When the shoulders wear out prematurely, that's a sign of low tire pressure. I would also get an alignment.

Those are dangerous and you need to repair the wheel also.

Thanks for all replies! I have newer IS OEM wheels (front and back) with tires ready to be swapped with these so will do it this weekend. I was trying to get most life out of these before replacing but I'm probably taking a huge risk.

What would cause this kind of uneven tire wear? I've read factory alignment spec would make inside of front tires wear quicker, but how would the outside wear this quickly?? I don't take corners hard with my IS.

Should I get alignment done right after putting new wheels/tires?

I see your wheel has serious dent. Someone already answer above regarding the wear. check your pressure.

I just a a thread about it replace it. Trust me

Look how close i am to dying
Not worth it lol
Are you lowered?

Edit: looks like you are on stock height
I would recommend 235/40 instead of 225/40 and add a little bit more tire pressure.

I do check tire pressure every few weeks but did not notice anything low. And I'll plan on doing alignment soon after new wheels/tires are put in.

Is there anything else that may cause this? (The tire on the other side in the front has the same uneven wear on the outside).

Your tire looks even worse than mine How could the side wear that much and the middle part still look good?

Yes everything is stock on mine.
