Default possible new owner. Quick advice please =)

Hey guys, looking into buy this 2007 IS250 with 81k miles. Have a few quesitons, wondering if you guys could weigh in quickly to help me make my decision

asking price $16000 - i was thinking 14, maybe 15 out the door with tax, tag, and title included

USAA is offering me an extended vehicle protection. Would it be worth it? im kinda on the fence
12 months/12,000 miles - $1096
24 months/24,0000 miles - 1598

basically I was wondering if you guys could just take a few minutes. Skim over the car and the details of the extended warranty and just give me a quick decision. I want the car but also want to make sure im getting it for a decend price.

Links for the car and details of the extended warranty

https://www.usaa.com/inet/pages/exte...rogram_details

Thank you guys for your help and advice!

I personally think that the short extended warranty is unnecessary. Also, it is quite pricey.

Anyways, the IS is very reliable car. I bought the IS350 2006 used with 84k miles on it. I ran it on daily basis for several months now and even run the car so hard on multiple autocross https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...for-fun-4.html and it still performs fine like a champ. It is still smooth like my brand new IS250 2012 lol.

I think 16k is pricey because you could have got a IS350 06/07 in 80ish k miles with good even fully loaded options.

Is that IS250 a base model or what options does it include? Navigation, Mark Levinson sound system, Luxury ???

I just look at the link you posted there. Guess what, it looks like a base model IS250. 16k for this is OVERPRICE lol!

I'm not sure how much exactly but I think it should be around 13k or so before tax (14k or so out of the door). 16k before tax is too much!!!

Too much. I paid less for my IS350, with lower mileage, in Canada (where prices are generally higher).
