I have a 250 and my boyfriend has an Evo. He loves it, but it's sort of uncomfortable. I think there's something wrong with his suspension because its a bit bumpy even on flat roads. I think you should stick with the 350!

I have been considering this same thing for about a week, since my wife and I picked up a '14 GS 350. (Her car)
I drive a '13 Evo X and the lease is up in December. I have been thinking about turning it in and getting the IS F Sport AWD, or financing the $31k that will be left after the lease....or even still getting a '14 or '15 MR. We are looking at buying a house next year, so I'm not sure what would look better to the loan officer... a short 27 month lease or a 4-6 year loan for $31k. As far as performance, I love the Evo. It is lacking in the luxury department. The trunk is small, too. I have modded the car and tuned it. Not sure if anyone is doing that with the IS350's. I'll be 46 years old next month, and I'm often the "Old Man" at meets and Mitsu Owners Day. It might be time to upgrade my luxury, but I don't want to give up performance. It's good to see a lot of posts not totally bash the Evo. A sign of true car enthusiasts! Yes, I believe they are two different breeds of car.

^Good point! But then after 15 yrs the EVOs will have a higher resale value because they no longer make them.

I doubt its something wrong with the suspension the IS is meant for comfort, the evo leans more towards handling performance so the ride will be a lot stiffer than the cloud drive you get with lexus

Enough though high performance cars are generally stiff, it does not mean that all stiff cars will automatically handle well.

The whole handling performance really depends on many factors in each car, the suspension is a holistic system affected by all kinds of factors such as weight, ride height, spring rate, shock, sway bars, brake bias, tires, alignment (camber, toe...) and all that... and they have to be balanced. It is not as simple as more stiff = more performance.
