Default Which IS350 should I buy and why?

Hi Guys,

Need your help, which one of the IS350s would you buy and why?

Option 1:

2007
84K miles
Silver on Grey
F Sport Intake
Pristine Body condition
Interior, a small stain on the headliner and a scratch or two in the back of the driver's side seat
$16,600

Option 2:

2008
60K miles
Smoke Grey on tan interior
ISF 18" wheels
Pristine interior
Front and back bumpers can use some love, and a small dent/ding from someone opening a door into a shopping mall
$18,300

All options and packages equal. Which one and why?

Thanks!

real ISF wheels come in 19" so those are probably replica's on the 2008.

Though both are out of warranty, I'd gravitate towards the 2008 myself b/c there were some minor cosmetic changes from 2007 to 2008 (i.e. hyper graphite on the stock wheels which doesn't apply for this car anyways etc). Not sure exactly what else but there was a thread by Kurtz I think that talked about them.

I would get the 2007 one, the price is way more attractive than the 2008 one. There is not much difference between the two car except the year and small mileage difference. Pristine Body condition suggests that the previous owner(s) took good care of the car. Check carfax and maintenance record before finalizing the deal.

Thanks guys!

Yes, intend to do the Carfax and Lexus PPI before purchase...

According to Book values... The 08 seems like the better buy, but the 07 is cleaner and just a fair or slightly over paid deal...

The 08 is bad aesthetically because it's a NYC car... But pristine interior?

Should I pass on both or you guys have more opinions?

P. S. Yeah, the wheels on the 08 must be the replicas... But look good, nonetheless...

If carfax and maintenance records check out, I would get the 2007 one. In CA, IS350 is very hard to find and usually quick sale. It may be different in your state but the price like that especially in pristine condition is quite rare. These two cars would be quick sale in CA.

I don't like grey or tan interior, so I would go for neither :P

LOL so not sure if I'm counting my votes right here... But are you guys actually saying to go for the cheaper, but more mileage 07? :-)

I know the color combos are not my favorite or ideal either, but nothing worth losing sleep over either... As we know the 350s aren't the easiest cars to find in the world... :-)...

If you like it, get it. It's your money and it'll be your car.

If the two cars are similar in conditions, I would go with the 2008. $1,150 for a year newer with 24k miles car is a better deal in my humble opinion.
