Need help with my current Tire setup
I had to replace my 2 rear stock tires(Bridgestone RE050) and decided to get the Continental DW Summer Tires.
Front - Bridgestone Potenza RE050 Summer tires(stock)
Rear - Continental DW Summer
My issues came right up after I had it installed and started driving on the freeway above 70mph or taking a hard turn. When on the freeway I feel like it wobbles and does not want to stick to the road and pull on either side. Also, when exiting the freeway a little more aggressive, it would trigger the VSC and that beep comes on and break on the tires for me. This never used to happen on my stock tires.
Are the different treadwear causing the difference in driving. Would changing all 4 tires to the Continental DW help or get rid of it later on and change to other tires?
thanks!

you sure didn't lose a tire weight? are the tires mounted on correctly? does the outside sidewall say "INSIDE" or are they put on the wrong direction...
Other than that I can think of is that they gave you tires that have been sitting in their warehouse far too long.
check those... then bring it back to the shop where you had them installed tell them what you posted here.

I've checked the tire to see if it was put on correctly. The direction of the tire is pointedly correctly and the outside of the tire is displayed. Is it a balance or alignment that I need to get it fixed. i've checked the tire manufactured date and it's not that old, couple of months less than a year.

Most folks don't know that street tires do have a short "break-in" period. So if you're hitting it hard right after new tires have been installed, I'd back it off for a few hundred miles.
With that said, I've read others online experiencing soft or spongy-feeling sidewalls with Conti tires in general; not greatly during cornering.
Stock tire size (255/40/18s)? What psi?

i have the dw summer tires and have no problems at all. I do have the psi up a bit to help with the sidewall. I have them at 45pst. I would say 40-45 would be ideal. I did a bit of research and found a bunch of people saying the same.
i absolutely love the tires by the way. I replaced all four, so i don't have experience with replacing only the rears. Sorry

I just set the psi to 45 and the drive was a little better, but just wasn't the same feel as the original Bridgestone Potenza RE050. Will be buying other sets in the future with harder sidewall.
When exiting the freeway last night on a posted 25mph turn(i took an aggressive 40), it still trigger the VSC and break for me. These just aren't as grippy.
