Without power steering feels exactly like trying to turn the wheel with the engine off. Not very easy. Luckily, you only need to turn it 90 degrees in each direction.

As far as the ISF ECU, it seems nicer... tighter steering. Haven't actually had time to really test it out, so it is a bit early to give a review.

Spent all of yesterday clay barring and polishing the car.

When the engine is off, it seems like the steering wheel is LOCKED?? Are you sure it can be turned with force without breaking anything? Even if it is possible, it seems it gonna take a whole lot of force to turn the damn thing lol.

Not locked, just engine off. Go out to your car, keep your foot OFF the brake, turn the ignition on. The steering should be unlocked, but extremely stiff. And yes, it is very possible to turn it, especially since you are only going 90 degrees.

Too be honest, it is an extremely easy install and can be done in 30 minutes. IF you don't have the communication issues I experienced... still not sure why I had the problem to begin with.

So today on my way home, I was playing around with the steering and the sport setting. Definitely an improvement, feels nicer on the highway and being able to a choose stiffer steering is really nice.

Later I drove it around the area and found some nice corners. I could immediately tell I was driving a different beast. What was scary and unsure before now feels confident and in control.

My last rear wheel drive car was a mustang GT and I used to be able to predict every detail of that car (well sometimes I would screw up, but that was half the fun in a mustang), coming to the IS350, I remember almost screwing up trying to do anything almost pushing the limit. But tonight, I was hitting corners way harder than ever before but I felt so much more confident. It was a blast! I can't wait to take this to the track for the first time.

My only complaint is that the inner rear wheel breaks free too easily and once it's free (and traction control is off) is just keeps on spinning. You have to really let off the gas to calm it down. But, what can you do about that, other than get a LSD installed, which I do not want to spend money on. I have Pirelli P zero tires on the rear. Probably 80% tread or more. Stock size too.

Glad your liking the mod getafewliv, was $350 Canadian dollars?I was quoted $641 dealer cost for 53042 and they said it wasn't even available to order in the US yet.

Im still liking my 53041 and am about to have my Fsport suspension(shocks and springs) on the car within the week, cant wait to feel it afterwards.

And yes I hate the one wheel spin around corners too

The 53042 is available, if i can get it in canada, then you can get it in the US. Took 3 weeks to arrive. cost me 490 tax in I believe in CAD. Call Erin Park Lexus in Mississauga Ontario. Ask for 10% off as I did.

Thanks for the info comp. Other than stickier tires and maybe and LSD, I am completely happy with this mod along with the fsport shocks and springs, I am thrashing around corners daily, this is how the car should have come stock. Makes me want to go chase some m3's at hpde's now
