Default Brake Fluid

I am planning to change my brake fluid. I am a bit confused as to which wheel to start with as there is confusing information out there. Most pressure bleeders recommend bleeding the brake line at the wheel furthest from the master cylinder first, and the vacuum bleeders seem to recommend bleeding from the closest to the master cylinder. Lexus tech docs suggest the method of pumping brake pedal and then to begin bleeding with wheel furthest from the master cylinder. I have a vacuum bleeding kit, the kit suggests start from wheel closest to master cylinder. So which do I follow?

Also, on my user manual it says brake pedal clearance should be 104mm. Can anyone explain how this is measured?

Also, when vacuuming out old fluid, other than the color difference (which might not be very noticeable) how else can I know if i've drained enough from each caliper?

I'm looking at the following Shell DOT4 Ultra fluid anyone know if this is suitable?

Thanks

I had mine bleed out through the driver's side rear, which oddly enough is the furthest line away from the master. DOT4 will be will fine; I went with OEM Toyota fluid (which is DOT3).

As long as the dot 4 is not racing fluid, then it is fine. (racing fluid needs to be changed very frequently). That dot 4 might have a change interval time of 2 years, a few have a change interval of 3 like many dot 3s have.
