Default Aftermarket touchscreen HVAC issue may be resolved

So I've teamed up with a really good audio shop in my area (mobile innovations) and I'm going to throw money at them and work with them to be able to install a after market double din without having to hide the six disc changer in the trunk or elsewhere. The installers there are top notch and have figured out other "unsolvable" issues. I will be keeping everyone updated for those interested.

So your solution is to bypass the OEM NAV unit altogether or to have the OEM unit AND the double-din?

Most shops hide the oem six disc changer and that's plain lazy. They are going to figure out a way to get rid of the OEM unit all together with all HVAC controls still working.

Alright, well I know that scoche is coming out with a better looking kit than they came out with last year at the expo. Everything is supposed to be plug n play and get rid of the stock radio with no hassle. The kit is supposed to be released in the fall sometime. That's all I can say.
