How long will a IS 250 last?
We are looking at buying an IS 250, one is 2007 with 117,000 miles and the other is 2006 with 90,000 miles.
Curious how much longer you think these vehicles will last?

I don't see why it couldn't last up to or past 250k miles with careful maintenance and driving. I've seen many people posting or in real life driving IS250's at or past 250k miles but of course make sure it has an excellent service record and no past major accidents.
THE ONLY ONE TIME that I've personally witnessed a problem with a used IS250 is the one my cousin bought straight from the dealership with 90k miles but had issues with the transmission. For whatever reason they weren't entirely honest about its past history, which they took them to court and won and found that it was in an accident in the past.

All IS250's from 2006+ are prone to carbon buildup. The recall only covers 2006-2010 models i think. Other than that the IS250's are very reliable cars. There are quite a few 200k cars out there but the ISx50's are still pretty young so there aren't much high mileage cars.

I bought our 3rd Lexus because I knew we wouldn't have to worry about it not lasting long enough for us. I'm going to go on a limb and say we are saying 250k easy only because they aren't old enough for most of us to hit 300+ yet... although a couple are close. I think just about any Lexus will last longer than the owners desire to keep um around.
the 92 sc could have kept me going on the 80 mile per day drive for work... but my body needed something with more comfort. For what it's worth I bought a 2007 is350 with more miles without hesitation. I did some research first though... single owner Lexus serviced from day one and every recall and scheduled maintenance up to date.
