advice from IS owners
Hey guys and gals. Need some advice. The car is an 06 is250 with 180k. One owner. Never been wrecked, has been serviced exclusively at lexus. Timing belt and water pump changed about 15k ago. Owner is asking for 7k. The owner happens to be my brother so of course I trust him. I will have to Fly into Virginia and drive it cross country back to Washington state. So. My question is simple really. Would you or would you not and why?

This high-mileage IS250 thread would be a great read for your situation:

is it a RWD? I ask b/c in snow, you can't turn off traction control very easily in the 2006 models (you'll have to learn the pedal dance and perform it whenever you start the car).
It may not be much of an issue in the less powerful 250 but it is almost a necessity when driving the 350 in snow...
