We own an automotive repair shop specializing in imports in OK. (Import World Automotive, for those who care.) We drove to Houston to p/u our '07 IS 350 with 130K+. Do you know why? Because we NEVER see Lexus in our shop for anything but maintenance! We drove down, Hubby walked around it, I signed over the check...and THEN had to ask how to start it! They're THAT good. If you don't want your brother's car, let me know. I'll fetch it home to replace my now (as of TODAY) totaled 07!
BTW, we just "retired" a 1992 Acura that I bought new, and sent it through two daughters. We were only able to get 308K on the original motor. :-)

Why not pay to ship it? It will cost about $1000 or less to ship it. Gas alone to drive it will cost you around $400. 3 days is surely worth more than $600 if not many times that.

I am going to look into this option.. Flying totally sucks, driving cross country might suck even more, especially alone.

Factor the opportunity cost of the couple days where you can make money. Shipping is a way better and sound solution to your money.
I have good experience with http://www.amerifreight.net/ . They did a good job transporting my IS350 from IL to CA.

Make sure you get in touch with the actual driver. You can call him directly to see the update. I called him quite often to see where my car is at haha. Inspect your car at delivery before you sign the paper, they usually have the before/after for comparison purpose. Good luck.

Thats what I was gonna say. Road trips are the best especially in a new car. Get to test it on the open roads. I drove through CA couple weeks back from south to north and took route 1 the entire way. I must say it was the most beautiful thing i have ever seen. Plus it gives you 3 days away from the madness you may or may not have at home.
