Car Mats Wet Again - Please Help!!!
My car mats - drivers front and drivers rear are wet again.
I took it to Lexus Dealership and they cleared out the Hvac evaporator drain for about $250 last week when ALL 4 mats were soaking wet.
i let the car sit in the sun and vacuum hosed the leaked water completely dry after they unclogged the hvac drain.
Now, just the front drivers side and rear drivers side is wet...and passenger front feels slightly wet.
I just called Lexus and they said to bring it in this afternoon for a leak test.
I am running out of money and patience...
What could be the problem???

It sounds like something is wrong with the sunroof tracks and they are no longer sealing the sunroof shut and allowing water to come into the car. I am making the assumption that you are noticing the water after it rains or when you wash the car. Many years ago I had a BMW (worst car I ever owned) and the cassette for the sunroof broke and had to be replaced. From that time forward the rear carpet and floor mats would get wet when you washed the car or if it rained.

My last visit to Lexus, the tech guy was showing me a one inch circular rubber piece with a hole in the center...probably hvac drain plug that he was replacing...i wasn't paying much attention...i just wanted it fixed.

I am at Lexus...they just took my car in for a leak test.
The Lexus lady checking me in made a comment...saying that I can claim this to insurance and have new carpets and insulation put in and she also noticed that my front windshield has been replaced and is not a Lexus windshield.
If i claim this on my insurance, won't they increase my insurance premium...i have geico insurance

No... this would fall into the Comprehensive coverage if it is covered. The problem you'll have is if it is a result of the windshield not being installed properly you'll have to get the shop that installed it involved. Hopefully they'll take a look at their work and come to an agreement. If not, you may have a hard to getting that covered through your insurance depending on what they consider a "Covered Peril" in their comprehensive coverage.
No Point No Increase if its covered. Points only come in through Collision and driving behaviors not through Comprehensive coverage. GL

ok...Lexus said it's my pads under the mats are still wet making my mats wet.
they said they can remove all seats and remove the whole carpet and fan dry them for two days...labor cost 5 hours plus new pads...i said no thanks.
i guess i will have to fan dry them myself...i parked the car in the sun...everything felt dry...but i guess not...
can't believe there is that much water under the mats...

They also said i can call my insurance ... but i think i got $500 deductible and it's going to cost somewhere between $500 plus cost of pads ... about $700...
so i would end up saving $200 if i claimed it...
i don't think it's worth it...

yeah if you find out what the actual problem is and fix that too... otherwise you'll be adding to this thread in a few months. Def have them find out what the root of the problem is. And just a FYI on the Comp deductible always go with the lowest possible. $50-$100 is usually only a few dollars more a month than the $500 and keep Collision around $500. A $50 deductible would have been sweet in this situation.
