Default My New to Me IS350!

Hey all,

Considering this is my first post here, I'll make it a good one. I recently acquired a 2007 IS350 after giving the old 04 IS300 a tearful goodbye.

I've lurked through the forums through out my time in the IS300, and some time with the new car as well. After getting so much help from old threads with my mods and other car related stuff, I thought it would be good to come and be a part of the community! So thanks to all of you who post write ups, and keep this place productive and awesome.

Without further ado, here's the car!

Welcome to the 2IS section. Nice and clean looking ride. Of course I love the color. Great pics and nice lens in the cup holder.

I am already seeing some nice mods on your car Like! Congrats on picking up the IS350. What the heck is going on... there is a flood of IS350 coming in these days on the forum lol.

Is that the F Sport exhaust?

Hell yeah... IS350 rocking the forum. I guess the 3rd generation IS availability makes the 2nd gen IS350 especially the older model cheaper and more affordable. I bought one not too long ago too.

Thanks, that was the first thing I did when I bought the car. Went a little crazy on Sewell's site and got my first round of mods soon after rolling off the lot haha.

Yeah man, hopefully I'll be adding more mods to the list soon! That exhaust is actually the slightly quieter Lexus HKS exhaust. Took a lot of searching to find one.

The 3rd gen is definitely helping drive prices down a bit, I also got lucky with this one. It was sitting on a carmax lot for a bit, and they couldn't sell it. So due to some carmax shadiness, and diligence on my part, I got it for over 1k below book price

Speaking of mods, here's what I've got installed currently, minus the ISF steering ECU. That came a day after this picture.

Funny thing is, the biggest change in my car came when I wrapped the wheels in S-04 pole position tires

The car came with the sport suspension too, so when I did the sway bar and tires, the car woke up. It's soooo much more fun to drive now. Takes a good dose of self control to not go ***** out every time there a bend in the road!

Judging from your table under the F-sport goodies you might like the wood trim in the Lex, but might recommend either the "sport" trim or some CF vinyl overlay.

I too have been noticing quite a few new IS350 owners on here lately.

Welcome!

Welcome!
I was thinking about getting the base plastic trim off a salvage car and doing a carbon fiber skin over them. Could look pretty good, just gotta find the time to do that project! For now I'm pretty happy with the wood trim.

Thanks man
