is illuminated door sill install help
Hey cl I need some help. I'm trying to install my illuminated door sills without messing anything up. I've read all of the install write ups and I've decided to run a taper wire from the single red wire underneath the seat belts. This is where I become confused. I've drawn up 3 diagrams for the 3 possible ways this could work. The 1st makes no sense to me BC in my mind it doesn't make a connection to ground. #2 I don't think is right either. #3 makes the most sense to me but nowhere in the write up does it say to cut the gray wire off both connectors... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

OK, so here is the deal,
my first IS had the plug, i plugged them in and worked.
my second IS had the plug, i plugged them in and it didnt work, all it is, is the plug is not grounded, so get out a tester, find out which one is the ground wire on the plug, then run it up to the door switch, (this door switch is a ground switch, only one wire in it) and connect it to it... thats it. plain and simple.. took me about 5 mins a side....
