Default Jl Audio or Kicker comps R

So I posted this in the audio section but with no response. I need help deciding on some 12w3 jlAudios or some a 12' kicker comp R box.. Any input would be greatly appreciated! The difference in price installed is about $1,200!! Does anybody have either of these setups?

Are you just comparing the subs or the JLs vs the Kickers in the box? What box are you considering for the JLs? ALOT has to do with the box design and the AMP too, not just the subs.

Comparing the whole setup. I'm looking for something that sounds really good inside the cabin and not nessecarly heard from 3 blocks away. The custom enclosure the shop is gonna build looks like this one. They also said I need to purchase something called a JL Audio clean sweep for $400.

^Is that a sealed or ported box? I'd recommend a tuned ported with matched subs. If not ported, then make sure the subs are designed for use in a sealed application AND what the correct cubic area for each is.

I'd personaly have a custom box done with the tuned port exiting into the cabin through the access panel.

Yes, the Cleansweep device will take the existing signals to the factory amp and will translate that into signal for use with your sub amp.

GL!

You don't necessarily HAVE to buy a cleansweep. There are other products in the market that achieve what the cleansweep can. It may or may not be as good as a cleansweep, but just letting you know that JL isn't the only one who makes that product. JL makes very good quality products, but they tend to be a bit pricier than alternative options.
