Default weird cold start

When I start my car for the first time in the morning it starts at 1500rpms for a couple of seconds and then drops down to 1100rpms, then it quickly goes back to 1500rpms and slowly settles at 1000rpm. Does anyone know what is causing this or is this just normal?

There are MANY issues that can be caused by carbon build-up. But first, do you have an IS250?

I think its normal on a cold start. It will idle high to warm up the car faster. It will slowly drop to normal idle once warmed up.

Sounds about right to me as well. As long as at isn't an abnormally long amount of time, but it doesn't seem like it.
