Default How to factory jack a slammed 2is with Ings side skirts

So I have one day left until my alignment appointment and I want to lower my car a little lower. I don't have a low profile jack or anything. I just have a couple 2x4 pieces of wood and a factory jack. I already tried putting the car on two blocks and it didn't make a difference since the side skirts were still in the way. This is my first lowered car so I need to know what to do in case of a flat tire anyways.

Well, if that factory jack isn't working...time for a low-pro jack then. You can get adapters to utilize the factory rails; or, like me, you can over time just squish the rails flat for use with any jack with blocks.

Another option is to get race ramps. I got some for like 100 bucks on Amazon and they seem to work well. You can use any jack.

From my experience the scissor jack will be lower than any low profile jack. It's just the design makes it prone to hitting side skirts when you're first extending it.

I would just use more wood blocks. My friend has the same problem with the jack hitting the side skirt but it's so minor and the weight is on the jack that there's no real chance of major damage.

If you cannot use the factory jack to raise the side of the car, I bet the ramps won't clear the front either. Ask me how I know!

I have the same skirts and prob just as low if not lower. Heres what you do....

Lower jack all the way...
Get a small piece of 2x4 prob about 4-6inch long...
Place it ontop the jack...
Line it up with your rails or lack there of if your car is like mine and they are gone...
Start to raise your car ...
You should clear the skirt by like an 1inch or so that's how much clearance I got....
I keep a piece of 2x4 in my spare wheel well for roadsize service...

If your rails are gone you could all turn the jack so its complete under the car and since we have the swiveled handle you can jack it up like that.

I'm a little confused. So how is a giant 2x4 going to fit under. Is this like after I've put my front tire on two 2x4 pieces. And if my rails haven't been squished flat, is there a place I can jack it up safety without damaging the railing

Save yourself time and go get a low pro jack from harbor freight. It not that expensive and I myself don't like using those car jack safety wise.

I would but I'm straight up broke. I don't even have enough. And I have only tonight and tomorrow morning to figure this out. I rarely needed to raise my car so I think this should do the job. Plus practice in case of a flat!

My factory jack won't clear my car, so I have to build a step 2x4 later but once im done installing air, I wont have any problems.
