Default Radiator Cap Broke

I opened the radiatior cap of my 2007 IS250 this morning and it was in pieces. The spring was being held up by the lower part. I pulled the spring out and tried to grab the piece in the housing with needle nose pliers, but it fell. I pulled the radiator hose off the housing, but could not locate the piece.

Will it be ok or do I have to locate it somehow?

Thanks

Any foreign objects running about in the engine is bad news. Find it!

Darn. Unfortunately it's Sunday and it's my daily driver. I had to go to Napa to get a temporary cap. I'll have to drive the car this week, and I don't have enough toyota anti freeze to dump the entire radiator. I might just have to run with it until next weekennd. I have an OEM cap on order and I can get enough super long life coolant for an entire flush even though it doesn't need it.
